Values In Action
Values in Action (VIA) is an integral part of nurturing compassionate changemakers at Springdale. Through age-appropriate projects, students develop compassion, take responsibility for their community and understand how their actions can make a positive difference.
Everyday responsibility is a key foundation of VIA. Students learn that contributing to the community begins with the simple, daily choices they make — looking after themselves, being considerate and respectful in their interactions, and doing their part to keep their classroom and school environment clean and orderly. These consistent habits help students understand that small actions can create meaningful impact over time.
Our VIA experiences are intentionally designed to:
• help students apply school values in real-life contexts,
• deepen their understanding of community needs through assessing the
problem,
• encourage thoughtful reflection, and
• empower them to initiate meaningful change.
From class-based initiatives to school-wide efforts, students learn to serve with heart, act with purpose and appreciate their roles as active contributors to society.
