Student Leadership
Student Leadership at Springdale
At Springdale Primary, we believe every child can be a leader. Guided by our vision of nurturing thriving leaders and compassionate changemakers, the Student Leadership Board (SLB) provides meaningful opportunities for students to grow in character, take responsibility, and serve the school community.
The SLB comprises Prefects, CCA Leaders, Peer Supporters, together forming the Student Leader Council (SLC). Together, they role-model our R³ICH values—Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Care, and Harmony—and play an active role in shaping a positive and supportive school environment.

Growing Leaders of Character
Student leaders are given authentic platforms to develop confidence and resilience. They lead initiatives such as Class Monitor Training, Camp Ignite!, and key school events including the Head SLC Rally and Student Leader Investiture. Through these experiences, they learn to communicate effectively, work with others, and lead with purpose.
Serving the Community
Leadership at Springdale is rooted in service. Our student leaders contribute meaningfully to school life—from welcoming our K2 visitors to expressing appreciation through Teachers’ Day performances. These experiences help them understand the importance of gratitude, empathy, and giving back.

Student-Initiated Action
Our leaders are also empowered to initiate projects that make a difference. In 2025, the P6 SLC led efforts to promote a cleaner environment through student-designed campaigns such as TeePee and BrooMee, and expressed appreciation to our school cleaners through handwritten notes. These actions reflect their ownership in building a caring and respectful community.
Through these experiences, our student leaders grow in confidence, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility—living out the belief that true leadership is about serving others and making a positive difference.
