Teaching and Learning
At Springdale Primary School, we embrace the transformative potential of technology to enhance Curriculum, Pedagogy, and Assessment (CPA), cultivating Future-Ready Learners for a dynamic and evolving world.
In alignment with the Ministry of Education's EdTech 2030 blueprint, our school is committed to equipping both students and educators with the tools, resources, and skills needed to thrive in the digital age. Through the strategic integration of EdTech in Curriculum, we ensure a synergistic and engaging learning experience that not only aligns with current educational goals but also prepares students for future challenges.
We recognize that the power of technology extends beyond simply supporting lesson delivery. It enables personalized, collaborative, and interactive learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs. By selecting appropriate hardware and software tools, our teachers are empowered to create innovative, student-centered learning environments. Lessons are carefully crafted to leverage the right technologies, fostering opportunities for both independent learning and collaborative problem-solving .
Teachers are developed to thoughtfully integrate EdTech tools in ways that align with lesson objectives while enhancing learning outcomes. When planning lessons, they carefully evaluate the tools available, considering how each tool supports the development of critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills – competencies essential for the 21st century. For example, teachers will guide students to explain their thinking through short written responses or multimedia submissions on SLS, and respond to teacher and peer feedback to improve clarity and accuracy. Using shared documents or collaborative SLS activities, students work in groups to co construct solutions, assign roles, and build on one another’s ideas in real time.
