Important Information for Parents
Find out key school rules on entry, transport, fees, and safety that all parents should be aware of.
1. General Information
1.1 Visitor Entry
All visitors must register at Security Guard Post before reporting to General Office
Display issued sticker label prominently at all times
No unauthorised access to classrooms
Parents meeting teachers must report to General Office first and make prior appointments
Staff will direct unauthorised visitors to General Office
1.2 Vehicular Movement
No parking at Foyer whilst waiting
No parking in school car park - use designated drop-off points only
Parents with appointments: park at nearby HDB car park
Observe 15km/h speed limit on school premises
Watch for students and pedestrians at main gate
Avoid using car horn
Children must disembark/embark quickly on left side of vehicle
Parents must remain in vehicle
1.3 Bicycle & Kick Scooter
Cyclists must dismount at Side Gate or Rear Gate - no riding in school compound
Students walk into premises using pedestrian walkway
Pillion passengers under 12 years require proper seat/carrier (Road Traffic Act)
Parents must sign Advisory Note (available at Security Guard Post/General Office)
Students must wear protective gear
Park at designated lots only
School is not liable for damage or loss
1.4 Safety at Pick-up point
• Students wait only at designated pick-up points
• Parents must follow instructions from school personnel or Security Officers
2. Financial Matters
2.1 School Fees Collection
Preferred Payment: e-GIRO (apply at https://www.moe.gov.sg/financial-matters/fees/egiro/ (opens in new tab))
GIRO Deduction: 26th of each month (February to December). If weekend/public holiday, deduction will be on the next working day
Failed Deductions: Balance carried forward to next month. GIRO will be suspended after 3 failed attempts and reinstated automatically once arrears is settled
Alternative Payment: AXS payment channels (mobile app, AXS web, AXS kiosk) or SGQR
Cash Payment as last resort if e-payment fails: To obtain receipt after making payment at General Office.
2.2 Financial Assistance
The school provides financial assistance for needy students.
The nature of assistance varies, depending on the financial status of the applicants. It may include: free textbooks, uniforms and shoes.
Application forms are available at the General Office.
2.3 Updating of Student Details (Parents’/Legal Guardian’s Particulars and Contact Details; Student’s Particulars, Contact Details, Medical and Special Educational Needs)
Parents/legal guardians are required to log in to https://pg.moe.edu.sg/forms/sdf (opens in new tab) using Singpass account to update the information annually at the start of the new academic year by 31 January. The portal will be accessible till the last day of Term 4 for subsequent updates.
Please submit a duplicate copy of student’s medical/psycho-educational information from the attending medical professional(s) for new declaration to the school via the school email address at: springdale_ps@moe.edu.sg (opens in new tab).
Form Teachers must be informed immediately of any change of home address or telephone number. This is especially important when an emergency arises.
Every student must have a local address in case of emergency.
Please respond to the school when you receive a call or text.
Please update your contact number via Parents Gateway app.
2.4 Photography and Videography
Photograph(s) or video image(s) of you and your child / ward may be captured during school activities or events such as classroom lessons, CCAs, school camps and school concerts. The school may use and publish such photographs or video recordings in school publications, websites, social media channels, and other communication channels.
2.5 Canteen (Recess/Lunch)
For safety reasons, parents are not allowed into the school during recess or lunch time.
Your child can approach the teachers on duty for assistance should there be a need.
3. Safety and Security
3.1 Excursions / Outings
Students must obtain parental consent before they can participate in any out-of-school activities.
Any fee paid for these activities will not be refunded if student is absent on the day of the activity.
4. Personal Accident Insurance for Students
MOE has arranged for all our students to be covered with a Personal Accident Insurance Plan which is underwritten by NTUC Income. You may refer to the website: https://studentgpa.incomegroupins.com.sg/ (opens in new tab) for submission and enquiry of accident-related claims.
