Educational Support
Springdale Primary School supports every child through a tiered system of care
Educational Support Programme
Supporting Every Child to Thrive
At Springdale Primary School, we believe that every child can learn and succeed when given the right support at the right time. Guided by our vision of Thriving Learners, Compassionate Changemakers, we provide structured and compassionate support to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Understanding Each Child Holistically
The ecological framework supports the school in gathering information about students’ needs. A holistic understanding of students’ needs enables the team to identify the appropriate level and type of support that the students require. The students’ ecological framework revolves around:
Student — personal strengths and area for growth, interests, learning profile
Environment — home, school, after school care
Teacher — teacher-student relationship, instructional strategies and support
Curriculum — task demands and materials
Peer — social interactions and relationships
Our Tiered Support System
Springdale Primary School uses a 3-tier support system to provide the right level of help for every learner.
Tier 1 – Universal Support:
All students benefit from high-quality, inclusive classroom teaching that builds strong learning habits, confidence, and resilience.Tier 2 – Targeted Support:
Students who need additional help receive focused support such as small-group programmes, in-class assistance, and structured progress monitoring to strengthen specific skills.Tier 3 – Intensive Support:
Students with higher support needs receive personalised intervention plans developed in partnership with teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure meaningful and sustained progress.
Our goal is to ensure every student feels included, supported, and able to thrive.
Supporting Growth Beyond the Classroom
As part of our holistic support approach, we provide structured programmes that strengthen both learning skills and social-emotional competencies.
Students may participate in small-group programmes designed to:
Strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills
Build positive learning habits and self-management skills
Develop resilience, emotional regulation, and perspective-taking
Enhance communication skills and healthy peer relationships
These efforts complement our tiered support framework and reflect our commitment to helping every Springdalite grow in confidence, character, and capability.

Through our Educational Support Framework, Springdale Primary School is committed to:
Understand and get to know each child
Create classrooms that are inclusive and caring
Monitor students’ progress closely
Provide timely and appropriate support
