During the Malay MTL day, the children learnt all about kompang like how to hold it, ways to hit the kompang and tried playing the kompang following the tune of Balik Kampung.

Kembara Nusantara Programme

The Kembara Nusantara programme, launched by the Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee (MLLPC) in partnership with the Mandai Wildlife Group, is designed to promote the Malay Language through fun and engaging activities at the Singapore Zoo. This initiative includes a one-day workshop to support preschool teachers in leading interactive learning journeys, aligning with MLLPC's mission to make Malay a vibrant, living language.

Wow Wild Learn (WWL) Programme

The Wow Wild Learn (WWL) Programme is a collaborative initiative with Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) to promote the use of Chinese and Tamil Language Learning. It aims to engage children in learning Chinese and Tamil respectively through interactive experiences at River Safari, foster enjoyable Mandarin/Tamil-speaking activities for parents and preschoolers, and equip the respective Mother Tongue teachers with the skills needed to lead enriching learning journeys.
